The instrument uses reverse hybridization assay for qualitative virus sub-types analysis. When test specimens are added to the slot, it automatically introduces reagents into the Chip slot, extracts DNA, and amplifies PCR via micro-pumps. Amplified products transfer to the Chip test area, undergoing reverse hybridization with probes for virus sub-types. If target gene products are present, they're captured by Chip probes; enzyme reactions produce spots, indicating virus sub-type. Negative specimens show no probe spots.
